When I started Kyle, CIO back in 2019, I had aspirations of starting my own consulting business. I took steps to do that, forming Kyle, CIO, with CIO standing for Chief Information Officer. Well, those plans were derailed with a little global pandemic that stopped the world in its tracks.
Fast forward a few years, and today I find myself with the time and energy to devote myself to what I truly love doing: helping others.
My professional career has always revolved around helping people find answers to their burning questions. As a business librarian and marketing researcher, I have advised everyone from university students crafting business plans for their entrepreneurial endeavors to Fortune 500 companies seeking to gain a better understanding of their customers.
In addition to my deep knowledge of research and insights, I bring years of experience in training and development in both academic and corporate settings. This means that I strive to enable people to take what we learn together and integrate those strategies and processes moving forward.
In my personal life, fitness has become a huge part of my life, with running being the catalyst for some big changes. That first 5K in 2012 gave me the first taste of a runner’s high, and I haven’t looked back since then. After countless races, including nearly twenty half marathons and seven marathons, I can say without a doubt that the sport has positively shaped late thirties and early forties.
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the formal education that I have received along the way. This includes a Master of Library & Information Science from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing Research from the University of Wisconsin, both premier schools in their respective disciplines. Furthermore, I have earned the Level 1 Run Coach certification from the Road Runners Club of America and will be adding additional credentials in the coming months.
I’ve called Brooklyn, New York home for over ten years. In my spare time, I am likely exercising [runners should do more than just run], completing a New York Times Crossword or Wordle [longest streak of 691 and 202 days, respectively], or slinging schnitzels and Stiegls at Werkstatt, the best Austrian restaurant in the city.
